Strivr
associate creative director
2022-2023
Strivr partners with Fortune 100 companies to transform content creation for immersive learning, improving workforce performance and providing valuable data for impact assessment.
As an Associate Creative Director, I pitched Fortune 100 clients on creative immersive learning solutions, and designed + directed experiences to be engaging and aligned with clients’ objectives, all while staying within strict scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
My responsibilities spanned setting high-level learning objective setting, writing content outlines, writing scripts, directing 15+ crews on-set, and providing feedback on builds. Learn how I achieve these below…
my directing process

1 / establish client’s learning objectives
Create learning objectives through discussions with clients and internal Instructional Designers, ensuring they’re specific, measurable, and aligned with the content's scope and client’s purpose.
2 / pitching Content outlines + scripts
With learning objectives in place, I weave them together with a narrative arc. As I’m writing, I ask — how might we keep the learner (aka the viewer) engaged? I leverage narrative flow, dialogue, blocking, VFX, and interactive learning features (multiple choice questions and scene hunts) to increase engagement.
3 / directing on set
I balance community-building on set with maintaining production scope + schedule. For pre-pro, I oversee casting, rehearsals, and wardrobe. For shoot days, I work with my crew to ensure high visual quality that brings the story to life. My real-time decision making addresses cinematography, blocking, talent performances, and any unexpected challenges that come up.

4 / reviewing builds + Edits
I provide constructive feedback to the Post team, emphasizing the need for audio and visual consistency for our clients. Playtesting the experiences in headset is key to understanding how our learners will interact with the experience.

5 / tracking & measuring insights
Throughout the whole process, I design with data analytics and its measurable outcomes in mind. How might we track engagement, usage, and outcomes to address the client’s campaign objectives and KPIs? These data insights help us see how viewers go through the experience — informing the design of future experiences.
